Months ago, I was ransacking through the shelves at Watson's in SM City Manila, trying to find some good buys. I found myself on the aisle where the Marionnaud products are, so I checked out their brushes. By chance, I found this as well.
I used to buy the refills from Nichido, since my curler is by Nichido as well. But they cost around Php60.00 or Php90.00 (err, I can't remember now) so I tried this out. I am a very thrifty person, so I always try to find more affordable alternatives to almost everything.
It's been a while since I used my curler (too bankrupt to buy even just a refill, haha) so I was really excited. When I got home, I took my curler, and slipped in a refill, and tried to curl my lashes. What I noticed was that, they seemed more rubbery hard than those of Nichido, so I thought, "Oh, okay. Baka mas tumagal 'to. Mura pa."
I'm not a student anymore, so I don't curl my lashes as often na. Most days I am just at home. Sometimes though, I tutor in Taytay. Each Nichido refill lasted for four months (everyday use), while these ones from Marionnaud only lasted two (hindi pa everyday use). The rubber got split along both ends, and if you still try using it your eyelashes will get stuck in there and might get plucked out. It happened to me, haha. And when I checked it, that's when I found out the rubber is worn out already.
Have you ever tried this? How was it? Let me know what you think.
