The Church on RH Bill + my thoughts

Actually, it's not only the Catholic Church I think. Because I hear some non-Catholics too, who oppose the RH Bill.

I don't understand the claim that the sperm cell in itself are already "alive" and therefore, should not be "wasted" in sex -- and by "sex" they mean ONLY procreation: with the intent of making a baby (because sex done as recreation would be sinning, they say) I do not understand it in the sense that by going with that claim/logic, it would also mean that menstruating girls are killing life as well, by not getting pregnant (because of the unfertilized egg cells we waste).

People see this as a question of morality: if you're morally sound, you will oppose the RH Bill. But come on, people need to wise up.

What is more moral? Taking control of your sexuality and deciding and controlling when to have a baby, or bringing new life (LIVES, even!)  in this world but does not even bother to look after it and provide for it responsibly?

We are talking about family planning here, not murder. And I think that it is just fair that women, especially those coming from the poor, are given the choice to decide for their sexual health, and be provided better access to contraceptives.

"Families should be allowed to space births" as "pregnancy is a burden; a physical, emotional, financial burden." -- Sen. Pia Cayetano
