To the church: Srsly?!!

by - December 06, 2012

I'm sure everyone has experienced being in a senseless argument with someone some time in his/her life. Most probably, it's a kiddie fight over small things like, whose shoes look prettier or what flavor of ice cream tastes best.

I don't know about you, but this endless whining of the Catholic church about the RH Bill tires me. And it's funny how they're pulling all ropes that they can, just so to not lose the argument.

The Philippines is frequented by at least 20 typhoons annually and sad as it seems, destruction of properties and loss of lives because of typhoons aren't really something new to us. But hey, looky here:

Come on. You can do better than that.

If you want to convince people of your stand regarding this I-have-no-idea-why-it-is-so-controversial bill, at least have something rational to say. I'm fed up with all the "we're being punished" BS when a bill (or even just something one person says) does not go along the lines of your beliefs.

As I see it, the Reproductive Health Bill will make available the information needed when planning a family. IT DOES NOT PROMOTE ABORTION, dammit. One doesn't have to be a genius to understand that.

If you don't mind children being aborted everyday because they're unwanted, if you don't mind seeing hundred thousands of children living in the streets, if you don't care children being exploited and abused instead of them being in schools, then be my guest and oppose the bill. But guess what? Ask yourself who's being immoral.

The RH Bill, if passed, will actually help women space their pregnancies, hence making better the lives of both mother and child. Giving birth to new life in this world isn't picnic, and it is important as well that the health of the child starts early after conception -- it's a no brainer; or you just don't realize it? Or, you just DON'T CARE. If you are opposed to women being in control of their and their child's health, you're the one who doesn't value life. You keep arguing on God's will, but haven't you ever thought that He gave you reason and intelligence? Use that God-given gift properly.
